The German SDG Award specifically recognizes lighthouse projects that make an outstanding contribution to sustainable development. The overarching goal is to increase awareness, visibility and, as a result, identification with the SDGs. The aim is to significantly increase awareness of the Sustainable Development Goals in business and society and to anchor them in society as a whole.
Companies, institutions, educational institutions, cities, communities, districts, organizations and initiatives can apply.
No. The award is constituted according to the rules of good governance and compliance. Fees are not provided.
Applications can be submitted in German and English. Please choose in review portal the respective language.
The application is made online via the application portal of the German SDG Awards and the UNIDO Innovation Awards.
Applications will be accepted until October 2, 2023. You can apply online via the application portal until October 2, 2023. If the submission is successful, you will receive a confirmation email.
Yes. Please note that all mandatory fields must be filled out, otherwise an application is not possible.
The nomination and the evaluation are carried out by an independent expert jury. The award decisions are made independently and purely from a qualitative and quantitative point of view depending on the evaluation criteria.
Yes, you can edit the application until you have finally sent it. To do this, register in the application portal and create a profile. You can temporarily save the application here.
Applications can be submitted until October 2, 2023. If the application has been successfully submitted, you will receive a confirmation via e-mail. The nominees for each category will be announced at the beginning of November. The award ceremony will take place at the end of November.
